Bingo. Pretty much. Mirage orbments tend to have the weird support stuff -- but I don't normally use those ones so don't quote me on it.

So then what kind do you usually use? We don't have anything like that where I'm from.

Whatever works, but I lean more towards Water and Time. My ARCUS has some slots specifically for those kinds, so I just rolled with it.

Helpful, right? [ haha ] But the concept could be similar, or even the same. i just can’t get close enough to the buildings to see if they have orbments anywhere.

I'm missing my stuff, too. Some people showed up with weapons so figured I'd ask. [he gets the idea though.]

We can always try to get closer to the buildings later. Maybe whatever's surrounding them will lessen later.

Mm. I’m missing a bulk of it, but I still showed up with something. Didn’t think much of it initially, but if they took everything else and left us with just one thing and the clothes on our back, you kinda start to wonder if it means something.

Hopefully? They said we got here early, but I’m also noooot sure how they’re meant to finish building entire buildings in like…. a few days?

That's what I thought, too. Especially since a ton of the stuff people are missing is stuff that was, like, in their pockets or something.

Maybe some of the buildings are closer to being done than we think. It's not like we can even really see the progress. But if this really is a school, they're probably normal classrooms and stuff anyway. Still worth a look.

Yeah. All logic points to the fact I really should have my ARCUS right about now. It’s always literally in my pocket. But that’s not what stayed with me, so… who knows what the logic here is.

Eh…. maybe. We showed up “too early”, but they could’ve been prepping it for a while now and we’re here at the very end. Still, all I’ve been able to find so far are the dorms and the cafeteria building.

Weird to have a campus but no school buildings ready. But I’m not exactly mad they had somewhere to sleep and somewhere to eat prepped and raring to go.

We can still be kind of mad because of the whole coming here without warning part, but yeah. Shelter and food's better than nothing.

Unless it's your turn for watch duty. [shrug!] Maybe part of the construction's more dorms and we'll get more space for everybody.

Yeah but if you're not doing that on rotation then you're just gonna have a cranky, arguing group the whole time.

[ hm. ] Yeah the bedding situation is kinda cramped at the moment. Or it is where we are, no idea about your dorm.

There's ten of us split up into two suites, but four of us are in the same room. We gave the director the big bed in the other room.

My only claim to fame is getting kicked out of bed the second I woke up. I just sleep wherever.

Yeah. She didn't offer another name, so she just called herself the director.

[raising an eyebrow.] Were you guys stuck sharing when you woke up? I didn't stick around long enough the first day to meet my dormmates in the morning.

[ what a vague name. ] I woke up in the big bed, and I wasn't alone? Normally I don't think it would've mattered, but I looked juuuust enough like someone the guy hated for him to react on instinct.

I have no idea. I didn't exactly ask.

It could be worse. I think some of the people in the other suite ended up punching each other because they weren't expecting to be with another person.

Yeah, remember where I said I got kicked out of bed. That's not a metaphor.
