I heard the same sounds as everyone else. Claude and I went up to investigate the noise when we lost consciousness. While he woke up where he fell, though, I was outside.

… I’m kinda curious how you busted through the doors, I almost took my shoulder out trying to open one of them.

Both of my shoulders are fine. So is our door.

Convenient that whatever happened was forgotten. Not that that's a slight against you, it seems more like something's making you all forget, seeing as it's a common thread between the people we found outside.

It's more troublesome than anything.

If it turns out that we were awake and lost our memories of that time, then it's not just our own bodies that we can't trust.

... Wonder if there's some way to film or capture what happens during that time. Like a sound recorder? But you'd have to be aware enough to start using it before you passed out outside.

Something like that would be better off being used around the time everyone passes out. But I'm no expert when it comes to technology. You'd be better off asking the Dorm Heads or one of the technologically minded kids here.

It’d be doable. They can get a whole variety of things. I’m just not bleeding the kind of vouchers we’d need to get too much stuff all at once.

Does that mean you've got a laundry list of exchanges you're looking to make?

Who doesn't? Even if you're not looking for knickknacks from home, you could probably get something for crime solving or the like.

Unfortunate how that keeps cropping up when it happens, and how focused you get on it. We could also get something to look into this whole kidnapping situation too, y’know.

Get creative -- I need to ask about lie detectors, or something that would help us figure out if someone was skirting the truth without literally lying about it.

It'd help when talking to people involved in this academy itself.

It's one thing to skirt around the truth, and another to believe the lie.

Ask and find out. Lie detectors don't seem so far fetched. Whether they're 100% reliable though, that could kinda be the catch.

I don't know if I'd trust something like that, but I suppose it would be better than nothing.

Right now I think that's all we have to work with.
